Fortunately the weather has been kind to us this week as we have enjoyed many outdoor events.
Our year 2 children thoroughly enjoyed their opportunity to enjoy and explore Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and its surroundings on Monday. Following a range of activities and a short service, we were joined by parents for lunch in the beautiful grounds.
We concluded our First Holy Communion Programme for our year 3 children with a ‘Going Forth’ Mass at St Richard & St Hubert Church in Hadzor followed by a picnic in the beautiful gardens on Tuesday. The children were presented with their certificates and First Holy Communion booklets which we are sure will become treasured keepsakes.
On Thursday we welcomed family members of our year 1 children for our dads and lads/lasses sessions which were hugely enjoyable opportunities to explore, enjoy and share all of the benefits of outdoor learning. The fantastic feedback really does serve to highlight the tremendous value of these opportunities.
Mrs Burrow (Science Coordinator) and I also had a wonderful time in Early Years on Wednesday morning exploring their Space topic through Science. The children were all having great fun researching, making predictions, investigating and testing solids, liquids and gases.
Preparations are well underway for our Summer fete on Saturday – fingers crossed that our run of good luck with the weather continues – we hope to see you there!
Enjoy your weekends
