Dear Parents/Carers,

As we enter the month of July, the Pope invites us to pray with him for families: “that today’s families may be accompanied with love, respect and guidance.” COVID-19 will remain the backdrop to everything we pray, say and do for some time but as lockdown restrictions continue to be lifted there are small signs of normality beginning to be seen. As our focus turns to both the summer break and to our return in September, we hold dearly all of our families in our thoughts and prayers – for those starting their school journey with us, to those returning in September and to those who will be saying farewell at the end of this term.

September Opening:

Following the Government’s announcement yesterday, we are working closely with our fellow MAC schools to look at how the guidance will be implemented in preparation for September. Please be assured that, as soon as plans are finalised, we will share those with you straight away in order for you and your child to be able to prepare for September.

Feast Day Mass:

Despite the current challenges, we are very excited to be able to welcome Fr Jason in to school to record a special Thanksgiving Mass for our Feast Day on the 16th July. We hope to be able to share a link with you to be able to participate in the event at home.

Classes for Next Year:

Reception – split into 1B (Mrs Burrows & Mrs Saunders) & 1W (Mrs Wright). Reception parents will receive a text message indicating your child’s new class.

1B       will move to     2T (Miss Thompson)

1W      will move to     2S (Mr Scott)

2T       will move to     3R (Mrs Rooney & Mrs Johnson)

2S       will move to     3N (Mrs Nicholas)

3R       will move to    4S (Mrs Sparrow & Mr Sweeney)

3N      will move to     4B (Mrs Barratt)

Your child’s new teacher will be introducing themselves on your child’s new class page over the coming week and we are hoping to provide you with an opportunity to meet your child’s new teacher in the autumn term.

End of Year Reports:

Given that we cannot distribute the reports in the usual way we are trialling sending these out electronically. We will be using the email that you have provided and will be aiming to send this out prior to the end of term.

Key Worker Provision:

We have now had confirmation from the Department for Education that schools will not be open for key worker provision over the summer holidays.

As we have our Yr4 leavers’ celebration taking place on Friday 17th July, our key worker provision will end on Thursday 16th July.

There will be independent holiday club provision available on site run by Fun Fest Holiday Club. For more information, please visit their website:

Enjoy your weekends!

Mrs Woods
