Dear Parents/Carers,

We are sure that, following the Prime Minister’s statement on Sunday evening, you will have questions regarding the re-opening of our school. As always, our key priority is the safety of pupils, staff and parents at Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

We are awaiting detailed guidance and clarification from the Department for Education to support us with the new plan to begin a possible phased re-opening of some year groups after half term. We will keep you updated with details about what this may look like as we receive them.

At the moment, for us as a school, there is no change to the current guidance. We will continue to provide care for children of parents whose work is critical to the COVID-19 response and only those who cannot be safely cared for at home. The message is still that it is safer to stay at home. We will continue to provide online learning resources and remain on hand via the school email for any queries or concerns.

Take care

Mrs Woods
