It was absolutely wonderful to come back together as a whole school community this week and to hear the happy buzz of learning throughout the school. We are incredibly proud of all of the children for settling into routines and engaging with their learning so quickly – well done everyone!
We had a very exciting time celebrating British Science week this week! The children enjoyed Mr Magic’s virtual optical illusions on Monday, virtual live events including ‘Farming Robots and ‘Which Came First the Chicken or the Egg’ and an afternoon of exciting STEM challenges including marble run, balloon cars and balancing boats! Thank you to Mrs Burrows for organising such an action packed first week back for everyone.
Year 4 had a very enjoyable teddy bear’s picnic themed day today and looked very snug in their pyjamas and slippers!
First Holy Communion: Following discussion with Fr Jason, the provisional dates are set for First Holy Communion Masses next term. They will be subject to restrictions that Church have to follow and we will have more detail nearer the time:
Class 3R: Saturday 5th June (10 am and 12noon)
Class 3N: Saturday 12th June (10am and 12noon)
Year 4: Saturday 10th July (11am)
PFA: As the PFA have been unable to carry out their usual fundraising events in order to raise funds to support many of the enrichment activities which take place in school, they kindly request that it would be very much appreciated if you are able to make a small donation via ParentPay. They will be looking at what events can go ahead next term within current restrictions.
Class Emails: As we are all back at school now, the class emails are not being monitored. If you need to speak to your child’s class teacher, please contact the school office via phone or email.
Parents’ Evenings: In order to give the children time to settle back into school life and for teachers to be able to fully assess progress, we will be delaying our parents’ evenings until next half term (w/c 10th & 24th May). These will take place via phone in line with current restrictions.
