On Thursday 22nd March, Year 1 welcomed Mr Hanrahan, a Year 1 parent, in to school with his firefighter colleagues to talk to the children all about his job as a fireman! The children learnt about smoke detectors, how to ‘stop’ ‘drop’ & ‘roll’ and we also managed to see the fire engine! We had a go using the water hose and looked at all of the special equipment. This linked to our topic work which is The Great Fire of London and the children shared all they knew with the firefighters. We had so much fun and really appreciate the visitors giving up their time to see us. Thank you!
