Curriculum Overview

Our curriculum, designed not only to fulfill the statutory requirements but also to instil a lifelong love of learning, aims to engage and enthuse our children academically, socially and spiritually so that they can all achieve their full potential.

Through use of the National Curriculum, we aim to provide a curriculum which:

  • Enables all learners to achieve the best they can through high quality teaching, learning, assessment and focused intervention eg, KUCU
  • Develops knowledge, skills and understanding through a growth mindset culture which promotes positive mental wellbeing and resilience eg, Thrive, 2%er mindset
  • Provides a flexible, tailored programme for pupils with SEND
  • Equips learners for their future in a rapidly changing world eg, access to technology
  • Is broad, balanced and coherently planned and sequenced to develop cumulative knowledge, skills and understanding
  • is filled with rich first-hand purposeful experiences that engage, challenge and enthuse our learners with a focus on learning outside of the classroom eg, Wild Woods, Try Something New Days, WOW Days, Trips, Workshops
  • Enables a flexible and responsive approach to individual’s needs and interests promotes spiritual, moral, social and cultural understanding with an emphasis on providing children with opportunities for reflection
  • Equips our learners to be happy, confident, caring and ambitious citizens
