Dear parents/carers,

Thank you to all of the families who have sent in ‘Hail Mary’ prayer videos for our MAC Rosary project – we can’t wait to see it all put together as a wonderful prayer resource for the whole MAC community. As we continue in the month of May, we will share the Memorare which reminds us that the Blessed Virgin Mary is ready to help us when we need her:

 Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,

that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection,

implored thy help or sought thy intercession, was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee,

O Virgin of virgins my Mother; to thee do I come,

before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful;

O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions,

but in thy mercy hear and answer me,

Amen.

We are absolutely delighted to reveal the new addition to our school mosaic, designed by Jackie Nash, to celebrate the school’s 50th anniversary! It looks fantastic and we are so grateful to our PFA for raising the funds for it.

In these socially distant times, we have really valued the communications we are receiving from the children including their amazing pieces of work and videos which have made us cry happy tears!

We were also very proud of Joshua, in yr 3, whose TV report for BBC Midlands about the ‘Redditch Positivity Rock Line’ was absolutely brilliant – well done Joshua! Follow the link below to watch if you missed it:

BBC Midlands TV Report

We are all missing you so much and cannot wait until we can all be safely together again as a whole school community.

As you will be aware, the Government’s latest announcement has stated that schools should be planning for a possible phased return for Reception and Yr 1 children to return to school if it is safe for them to do so. Thank you to our Reception and Yr 1 parents for working with us and giving us an indication of whether you would choose to send your child back to school if such plans were to go ahead. We are working closely with our MAC Health & Safety Officer and fellow MAC first schools and will communicate possible plans as soon as we are able to. Please bear with us as our key priority is the safety of the children, staff and parents.

Enjoy your weekend

Mrs Woods
