Activities of the week
For the next few weeks we are thinking about Prayer
– why it is important and how we can pray.
This week we are thinking about the Lord’s Prayer.
When you pray, you are talking to God, and spending time getting to know Him. God wants us to pray and spend time getting to know Him, but sometimes it’s hard to know what to pray about or how to pray, so it’s great that we have these verses where Jesus teaches His followers how He wants them to pray. When we pray, we need to remember that prayer is about getting to know God.

May is the Month of Mary
May is when we focus on Mary, the Mother of Jesus.
The practice dates back at least 700 years and continues around the world today.
May is seen as the beginning of new life and the start of summer, which makes this the ideal time for the celebrations of Mary, who brought life into the world.
Our activities this week are all about Mary.

Activities of the week
We have included a variety of activities that we hope you will enjoy.
Part of the May celebrations is to put a crown of flowers on statues of Mary. Our film below encourages you to create a flower crown for yourself (or a sister) or create some art work with a flower theme (there are lots of examples in the film.)
